Join us in the mountains of Central Java, Indonesia, for a unique tropical Permaculture Design Course – we’re embarking on a 13 day collaborative journey, learning how to map and design our lives and landscapes for future resilience.

The PDC will be held at Muncul Valley in Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia. With a thriving arts and social scene dedicated to many environmental causes, most notably the annual Water Spring Festival focused on the importance of protecting the many ancient springs found within the region. The valley is bordered by traditional stone-terraced rice fields and productive food forests overlooking the mystical mountains of Gunung Merbabu.

This fully immersive, fun and hands-on learning experience will be led by principle permaculture teacher John Champagne and a diverse, eclectic team of Indonesian based permaculture practitioners.

John is a leader in Australian and regional permaculture circles and has been teaching PDC’s for more than 10 years. His teaching career has taken him all over Australia and in recent years to South East Asia where he has taught PDC’s and Teacher Trainer workshops in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia.
