The unique organisms in SC27 products are able to solubilize certain plant nutrients and help make N-P-K more readily available to the plant. The major mechanism in which soil organic matter is converted into plant nutrients is the enzymatic activity of our microbes. Our strains secrete exo-enzymes from their cell such as lignases, cellulases, and hemicellulases, which significantly increase the rate of organic matter conversion. Chemical fertilizers, and particularly pesticides & nematicides, drastically reduce the titer and viability of the production of this enzymatic activity. After years of repeated use of anthropogenic chemical applications, soils are rendered sterile or give growers “lower yield”. SC27 products contain numerous bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes that actively secrete exo-enzymes that rapidly reduce soil organic matter into available plant nutrients and increase the rate of soil mineralization, again releasing soluble elements into the solum. Additionally, SC27 products have proven themselves in numerous research trials to actively “rehabilitate” chemically degraded soils and return them to a more sustainable condition

SC27 has also been shown to stimulate plant growth through the activity of the enzyme 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) deaminase, which hydrolyzes 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) the immediate biosynthetic precursors of the hormone ethylene in plant tissues to ammonia and keto-butyrate. Plants treated with ACC deaminase-producing PGPR can dramatically be more resistant to the deleterious effects ethylene synthesized as a consequence of stressful conditions. SC27 organisms are rhizosphere competent and colonize and survive on root surfaces and expand as the root expands creating a healthy environment of beneficial organisms living around the root zone and on the root itself.

SC27 provides a select group of highly effective organisms that rapidly proliferate and survive in any soil type. Proliferation occurs immediately after soil inoculation and SC27′s beneficial microbial counts have shown to be as high as 10 orders of magnitude at the end of the crop cycle.
